Geoff Owen, my best friend, lives near Milan...
Geoff heard about our little restaurant when we won a high profile award many years ago...
He suggested that I join him in a three day tour of a handful of northern Italy's food and wine highlights. I was amazed at the tastes I enjoyed, and have subsequently forsaken all other cultures of cuisine and wine!
Geoff has an amazing knack of tracking down the very best imaginable food and wine, and I feel exceptionally priveledged to be able to join him on an average of eight trips a year, when we taste the delights of Italy's regional artisan and farm produce.
The picture at the top of this page was taken in the wine producing village of Barbaresco; the guy on the left is a truffle hunter, Geoff is in the middle and one of my favourite wine producers, Roberto Sarotto, is on the right...
