Thus it is that in a basement bar in the north end of Ramsbottom, the Senogles sisters, Emma and Amy, offer a choice of 300 hand picked Italian wines (between them they have visited most of the vineyards) and tasty food in the style of a rural Italian trattoria, where the cook just tells you what she has prepared today...
On Saturdays a 'quick lunch' includes a glass of wine or freshly squeezed fruit juice, tasty pasta and a dressed salad for only £8.50; Emma's rustic three course lunch adds antipasto and dessert or cheese but excludes the glass of wine... all for the bargain price of £11.50
In the evening from Tuesday to Saturday a plate of mixed meat antipasto for two to share is £7.50, a salad bowl or vegetarian antipasta is £3.75, a giant bruschetta or 'heavenly' pasta is £7.50. A generous selection of Italian cheese is £6 and a Tuscan Amedei chocolate pot is £5...
