Local wine is sold by the jug; food prices are modest. Emphasis is on providing for the daily needs of a regular clientele wanting to unwind with a glass or two, and a tasty supper to go with it...
And so, in our candle-lit basement, talented local Chef Louise Varley matches our range of 300 Italian wines with classic, trattotia style 'Comfort Food'.
From Tuesday to Saturday evenings at 8pm prompt, Louise serves a typical supper of mixed antipasto, soup or home made pasta, a slow cooked meat dish and cheese or pudding.
Its only £20 for 4 courses; regular guests and last minute bookers get a real bargain with 4 courses for £15!
